Wingspan: 30-34mm
A rather beautiful example of this bivoltine species that is on the wing from April and again in June and July with occasional individuals well into August. It is a frequent visitor to light and has ben recorded from all garden traps and those in or near woodland where aspen is present and poplar plantations.
Larvae are aspen and poplar feeders overwintering as pupae.
